Welcome to our page of frequently asked questions. If you have any questions that are not answered here, please do get in touch. We are always happy to answer your queries.
Not at all. We offer courses at all levels, whether you are just starting out or looking to expand your knowledge. We can tailor your bushcraft and survival training just the way you want it, in our own fun, interesting and unique way. Many of our courses and expeditions require no experience of bushcraft or camping. They are designed to introduce you to the skills and knowledge we teach, building your experience as you go. Other courses build on the basics and challenge people to further their skills and experience.
Yes, our staff are qualified and highly experienced and will provide you with support and guidance at all times.
Hampshire. Once you have booked a course we will send out full joining instructions and directions to the course meeting point.
All under 18s must be accompanied by an adult. Please see individual course/expedition descriptions for age limits on specific courses. Provided you are in good physical health, there is no reason why you should not attend. If you are in any doubt, please consult your GP before booking.
No. We would normally provide any specialist equipment or clothing that you may need. Look at our bushcraft kit list for the basic items that you will need. For some courses, you may be asked to bring some camping equipment. Each course has its own kit list which will be sent to you after your booking has been confirmed.
Generally, you will be able to bring your own equipment. However, if we think your equipment is unsafe, or unsuitable, or if standard equipment is required, it will not be permitted. It is down to the discretion of the specific course/expedition leader. If you have any queries about this, please get in contact.
An axe might be a great tool but can also be very dangerous. Axes must only be used if you have prior permission from the instructor. Please check course descriptions for details. If you have any queries please get in touch.
Yes, all of our instructors are trained first-aiders.
Our weekend courses are fully catered. However, you will be invited to get involved with preparing and cooking meals. You are welcome to bring extra food items and snacks if you want to.

Some of our bushcraft courses do include the gathering of wild foods. Some of our more advanced bushcraft courses will encourage you to rely on your hunting skills and to be able to gather and cook. The individual course descriptions will have more details of what you can expect.
We can cater to vegetarians and pescatarians – Please let us know when you make your booking.
Yes, we can, but it would be recommended that you bring some of your own food. Please tell us that you are vegan when you make your booking, as it’s important that we know prior to the start of the course. You have the chance to tell us this during the booking process, but we would advise you also to get in touch directly to make sure we understand your dietary needs. Please contact us
If you have special dietary requirements, allergies, or food intolerances, it is important that you tell us the details when you book. Please contact us at [email protected] so we can discuss how we can cater to you.
Yes, but we only allow drinking after all the lessons and teaching is finished.
Our courses are based outside and you will be camping. Refer to individual course descriptions for further information or get in touch with us if you have any queries. When you are on an expedition and not camping and using your own equipment, the accommodation that is provided will generally be shared (usually a twin).
No. However, if you do need one, a very basic gravity-fed shower can be made available.
We have working toilets at some of our sites, at others a camping toilet is provided.
You can book your place at any time of the day. Just click on the ‘add to cart’ link from the course page that you wish to book and then proceed to check out.
You can also make a booking by phoning us on 07557586537. Your booking has not been confirmed until you receive a booking receipt.
You can pay by card online or if you prefer, you are welcome to book and pay with your card over the phone. Your booking is only confirmed when you have been issued a booking receipt.
We can accept all major debit and credit cards.
Just like booking a single place, before proceeding to checkout, you can add additional places – the course information will say how many places are still available on that course or expedition.
Yes, our instructors are happy to work with people on a one-to-one basis. Please get in touch to discuss your requirements.
Yes, as long as there is space on the course on the date you wish to be moved to.
Yes, subject to our terms and conditions.
If you want to cancel your place, please email or phone us as early as possible. It would be helpful if you could provide your booking reference to allow us to find your booking information more quickly. It may well be helpful to look at the course terms and conditions.

Our courses are run on private land with limited access to the public. There will be parking provided within the estate, away from the main road. Please do not leave any valuables in the car.
We would suggest that you keep your personal belongings and anything valuable with you in your rucksack.
Yes, if you need to, but please do so discreetly. You are not allowed to use your phone or other mobile devices during demonstrations, lectures, and talks. Some places we visit will not have any mobile reception.
No. Pets are not allowed on any of our Wildway Bushcraft courses.
